A blend of organically grown Carricante, Catarratto and Grecanico, hand-harvested from small vineyards high on the north face of Mount Etna. Citrus and white flowers on the nose; dry, crisp and fresh on the palate, with lemon and grapefruit and an underlying salty minerality. Vintage: 2024.

About the producer
Vino di Anna is a small natural wine estate on the northern slopes of Mount Etna, in Sicily, run by winemaker Anna Martens and her partner Eric Narioo, founder of the UK natural wine importer Les Caves de Pyrène. Anna first came to Etna to work at the Passopisciaro estate, and together they fell for the volcano. They farm old, bush-trained (alberello) vines at high altitude, organically and by hand: mostly Nerello Mascalese, alongside local white grapes such as Grecanico, Catarratto and Carricante. The wines are fermented with native yeasts in a range of vessels, from the traditional stone palmento to old barrels and Georgian qvevri, with little or no added sulphur.
